SNAKE SKIN
Dress made with layered chiffon that captures the organic patterns of snakeskin. Its translucent construction echoes the natural rhythm and texture of scales, translating microscopic details into a wearable sculpture that balances delicacy with strength.
FARMER'S
DAUGHTER
Constructed from two extra-large men’s button-down shirts, bedsheets, and a tablecloth, this 1800s-inspired dress explores transformation and identity through material reuse. The skirt can be unbuttoned and used as a picnic blanket, reimagining everyday textiles into a narrative of labor, femininity, and rural nostalgia.

The intricate, repeating patterns and textures of snake skin inspired the design of the dress.

Up Close: Microscopic photo of snake skin revealing variations of color that were the inspiration for the tones of the dress.

Each piece of chiffon fabric was hand cut and sewn together. I used different color variations: soft grey, cream and tan to mimic the snakeskin's glow.
